A lot of USN Carrier Borne aircraft in Green South-East Asia Camouflage during the Vietnam War. It was an experiment to reduce the visibility of carrier-based aircraft during operations over the jungle.In "Vietnam Air War Debrief" noticed that the prime carrier in the experiment was USS Kitty Hawk. Half of Air Wing 11's aircraft were painted in the dark green uppers camo scheme during her December 1965 to May 1966 Tonkin Gulf deployment. Other carriers also participated - USS Constellation in 1966 (May-December cruise). Many aircraft were repainted by Nippi at NAS Atsugi in Japan. Unfortunately, there is no exact data on which types of aircraft were repainted in Atsugi.
